Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and manage remediation efforts.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Perform security assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Document security incidents, trends, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and networking protocols.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
