Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely remediation and containment.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Perform security audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards (ISO, HIPAA, NIST).
- Document security incidents, procedures, and system configurations for knowledge management.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and security features.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
