As the guardian of our digital infrastructure, you will play a critical role in detecting, analyzing, and responding to security threats during off-peak hours when systems are most vulnerable. Responsibilities
- 24/7 Threat Monitoring: Oversee and analyze security alerts and logs across the network, focusing on the weekend shift coverage.
- Incident Response: Lead the initial triage and containment of security breaches and cyber-attacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct rigorous penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses before they are exploited.
- SIEM Management: Optimize and manage SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) to ensure real-time visibility into security events.
- Compliance & Reporting: Generate detailed reports on security incidents and ensure adherence to industry standards (SOC2, HIPAA).
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with the engineering team to recommend and implement robust security controls.
Qualifications
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record in incident response.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) and rotate through on-call duties.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Tools: Proficiency in SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
