Responsibilities
- User-Centric Research: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to uncover insights that drive design decisions.
- Visual Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard tools like Figma.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant design solutions.
- Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain our internal design system to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Accessibility: Ensure all designs adhere to WCAG accessibility guidelines and inclusive design principles.
- Iterative Improvement: Analyze product metrics and user feedback to continuously refine and optimize user flows.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience.
- Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with a strong understanding of prototyping capabilities.
- Portfolio: A robust portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects and a clear design process.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas to non-design audiences.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles is a plus.
- Location: Must reside within the United States, with a preference for candidates based in Pittsburgh or willing to work fully remote.
