Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Linux/Windows) to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage firewalls to protect sensitive data.
- System Automation: Develop and deploy scripts using Python or Bash to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Network Administration: Configure and troubleshoot network hardware, VPNs, and routing protocols to support seamless connectivity.
- Backup & Recovery: Oversee data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
- User Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to internal stakeholders, resolving complex hardware and software issues.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and runbooks, for all systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Operating Systems: Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly preferred.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and network security principles.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Certifications: RHCE, CCNA, or equivalent certifications are a major plus.
