Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Linux/Windows).
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor robust security protocols, firewall rules, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard sensitive data.
- Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize resources on platforms such as AWS or Azure, ensuring cost-efficiency and high availability.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (Python/Bash) to automate routine tasks, improve system performance, and reduce manual errors.
- Technical Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for complex network troubleshooting and hardware issues, providing tier-3 support to end-users.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
- Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
