Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain complex server infrastructure on both Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Manage network configurations, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure data transmission.
- Implement and monitor automated backup solutions to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate cyber threats.
- Provide Level 3 technical support and mentor junior administrators.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites in the Chicago area.
