Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Proactively troubleshoot system performance issues and implement preventive measures
- Oversee network infrastructure (routers, switches, load balancers) and backup/recovery systems
- Document IT processes and maintain compliance with industry standards (SOX, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and system migrations
- Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning/execution
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and cloud services
- Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios) and automation (Ansible)
- Certifications required: CompTIA Server+ or equivalent; preferred: AWS/Azure, CISSP
- Proven track record of optimizing system performance and security
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
