Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain complex Linux/Windows server environments and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and identity management systems
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash)
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization across 500+ endpoints
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restorations
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration
- Document system architectures and maintain configuration management databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expert-level proficiency with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking
- Strong experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- Proven experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)
- Scripting expertise in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call rotation
