Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and manage enterprise-level security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and Grafana
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system upgrades during maintenance windows
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document system configurations and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Linux/Windows environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Security certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+) preferred
- Proven experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and storage systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents within 15 minutes
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with root-cause analysis experience
