Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and Splunk to prevent outages
- Lead security initiatives including patch management, firewall configuration, and vulnerability assessments
- Automate deployment and provisioning using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex infrastructure issues and mentor junior team members
- Document systems architecture and create disaster recovery procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on container orchestration using Docker/Kubernetes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Linux and Windows Server
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS services
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
- Industry certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or MCSE) preferred
- Proven experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and container technologies
- Deep knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, load balancers)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong analytical abilities
