Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Manage virtualization infrastructure using VMware vSphere and Kubernetes orchestration
- Proactively monitor system health, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize performance
- Develop automation scripts using Python/Ansible to streamline operations
- Ensure robust security protocols including firewall management, patching, and compliance
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration
- Document infrastructure and create disaster recovery plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expertise in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration
- Strong networking skills (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing)
- Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure) with IaaS/PaaS services
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+) preferred
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
