Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Lead AWS cloud infrastructure migrations utilizing Terraform and Kubernetes
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker for automated deployments
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Optimize database performance for high-transaction maritime applications
- Implement robust security protocols for government-compliant systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in enterprise software development
- Expertise in Java, Python, and modern JavaScript frameworks
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect Professional preferred)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor developers
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
