Responsibilities
- Design & Develop: Create complex, multi-step prompts that maximize the performance of LLMs like GPT-4 and Claude.
- Optimization: Continuously refine and tune prompt chains to improve accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and enhance output quality.
- Evaluation: Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks to test model responses against human standards and business objectives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to integrate AI solutions into real-world applications.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of prompt libraries, best practices, and prompt engineering methodologies.
- Research: Stay ahead of the curve on emerging AI trends, model updates, and novel prompting techniques (e.g., Chain-of-Thought, ReAct).
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in Prompt Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of how LLMs work, including context windows, tokenization, and fine-tuning basics.
- Language Skills: Exceptional command of English grammar, nuance, and rhetorical devices.
- Problem Solving: Ability to debug complex prompts and iterate rapidly to find optimal solutions.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like OpenAI API, LangChain, or PromptLayer.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, English, or a related technical field.
