Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Prompt Engineer to join our elite team at NexusAI Labs. As a leader in Generative AI solutions, we are building the next generation of intelligent applications, and we need a creative mind to bridge the gap between human intent and machine understanding. This is a remote-friendly position based in Baltimore, MD, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with top-tier AI researchers and developers.
In this role, you will be the architect of our AI's language capabilities, crafting the inputs that yield the most impactful outputs. You will work closely with product managers and data scientists to refine our Large Language Models (LLMs) and ensure our AI interactions are seamless, accurate, and engaging.
Responsibilities
- Design & Optimize: Craft complex, context-aware prompts for Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-4, Claude) to maximize accuracy, relevance, and safety.
- Model Training: Assist in fine-tuning pre-trained models using prompt engineering techniques to improve specific domain performance.
- Iterative Improvement: Conduct rigorous A/B testing of prompt variations to determine the most effective strategies for user engagement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers and product teams to integrate prompt-based logic into production applications.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive libraries of prompt patterns and templates to standardize AI interactions across the organization.
- Feedback Loop: Analyze AI outputs and user feedback to identify gaps in prompt logic and implement continuous improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in prompt engineering, content strategy, or technical writing.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and the capabilities/limitations of LLMs.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python or JavaScript is a plus; experience with API integrations is required.
- Creativity: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to think laterally and structure complex instructions for AI.
- Tools: Familiarity with tools like LangChain, Hugging Face, or PromptLayer.
- Remote Discipline: Proven ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
