Responsibilities
- Architect Complex Prompts: Design, develop, and optimize high-precision prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4, Claude, and Llama 2.
- Iterative Optimization: Conduct rigorous A/B testing and iterative refinement cycles to maximize output quality, relevance, and safety.
- Prompt Libraries: Build and maintain comprehensive prompt libraries and style guides to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Output Analysis: Analyze model outputs to identify hallucinations, bias, and logical inconsistencies, proposing fixes to the engineering team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists and Product Managers to define AI use cases and translate business requirements into technical prompt strategies.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation on prompt engineering best practices and model behaviors for internal knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Technical Background: 3+ years of experience in technical writing, data science, computational linguistics, or a related field.
- LLM Experience: Proven experience fine-tuning models or engineering complex prompt chains (Chain-of-Thought, ReAct, etc.).
- Linguistic Proficiency: Excellent command of English grammar, rhetoric, logic, and the ability to deconstruct complex instructions.
- Programming Skills: Familiarity with Python and API integration (OpenAI API, Anthropic API, LangChain).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, English, Communications, or a related technical field.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug AI reasoning processes and troubleshoot failures.
