Responsibilities
- Design & Optimization: Architect complex, multi-turn prompts for LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude) to maximize accuracy and output quality.
- Model Fine-Tuning: Collaborate with the ML team to curate high-quality training data and develop fine-tuning strategies to improve model performance.
- System Architecture: Develop and maintain a library of reusable prompt templates and system instructions to streamline development processes.
- Evaluation & QA: Rigorously test AI outputs against specific benchmarks and user scenarios to identify biases and areas for improvement.
- Creative Strategy: Push the boundaries of AI capabilities by experimenting with advanced prompting techniques (Chain-of-Thought, ReAct, etc.) for complex problem-solving.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation on prompt engineering methodologies and best practices for the wider engineering team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in NLP, data science, or a technical writing role with a strong focus on AI.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and familiarity with JSON and API integrations (OpenAI API, Anthropic API).
- Language Mastery: Exceptional command of English grammar, style, and nuance with a keen eye for detail.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug complex AI interactions and logic errors.
