Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise-grade network infrastructure including SD-WAN, VPN, and wireless solutions
- Implement and maintain network security protocols (firewalls, IDS/IPS, zero-trust architecture)
- Lead network troubleshooting and performance optimization for 24/7 mission-critical environments
- Collaborate with cloud teams to integrate hybrid-cloud networking solutions
- Document network configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
- Mentor junior technicians and conduct regular network audits
- Stay current with emerging technologies (AI-driven networking, 5G integration)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in enterprise network administration with Cisco/Juniper certification
- Expertise in routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and network automation
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
- CCNP/JNCIP certification required; CCIE/JNCIE preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid North Carolina security clearance (or ability to obtain)
