Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and execute incident response plans to contain and mitigate security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to harden applications and infrastructure.
- Provide security training and awareness programs for employees.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in log analysis and threat hunting using Splunk or similar tools.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
