Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Infrastructure: Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to analyze logs, detect anomalies, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, working closely with the incident response team to minimize downtime.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and risk assessments to identify and patch security gaps.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for hidden threats and malicious actors within the network environment.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with HR and IT to deliver security training programs for employees.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, Security Analyst, or Network Defense role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting (Python or Bash) and log analysis tools.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection (EDR).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
