Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to security alerts and suspicious activities in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, including log analysis, packet capture, and forensic techniques to determine the scope and root cause of breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Manage and maintain firewall rules, access controls, and identity management systems to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards (e.g., NIST, CIS).
- Assist in the development and execution of security awareness training programs for employees.
- Document security incidents, response procedures, and system configurations to maintain an accurate security posture.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of new technologies and applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity operations center (SOC) or related security role.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
