Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Create comprehensive security awareness training materials for employees
- Stay current with latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security orchestration platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Experience with threat hunting frameworks and MITRE ATT&CK methodology
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
