Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with IT teams to mitigate security breaches.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, encryption, and access management.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures for the organization.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Information Security role.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and forensics.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
