Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Perform regular security audits and compliance reporting (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC2).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, encryption standards, and risk management frameworks.
- Proficiency with Python, Bash scripting, or PowerShell for security automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
