Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of critical infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Analyze threat intelligence and emerging attack vectors to proactively enhance defenses
- Lead security awareness training for employees and stakeholders
- Generate executive-level security reports and metrics for leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC (e.g., GCIH, GCFA)
- Expertise in network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security architectures
- Proficiency with security tools: IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Experience with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements
