Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident response execution.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain firewall policies, access controls, and network segmentation to reduce the attack surface.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Develop and update security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, IBM QRadar) and endpoint detection systems.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
