We are looking for a visionary Prompt Engineer to join our elite team in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will define the interface between human intent and artificial intelligence, crafting the precise instructions that guide Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate world-class outputs. This is a fully remote-friendly position, allowing you to work from the beautiful Pikes Peak region or anywhere in the US.
As a Prompt Engineer at Nebula Logic, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering and creative language arts. You will work closely with our AI researchers and software developers to fine-tune our proprietary models, ensuring they are safe, accurate, and incredibly useful. Responsibilities
- Model Interaction Design: Create complex, multi-step prompt chains to guide LLMs through intricate reasoning tasks and creative writing exercises.
- Optimization & Fine-Tuning: Continuously test and refine prompt structures to maximize accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and improve response quality.
- Library Management: Develop and maintain a standardized library of high-performance prompts for various use cases, including coding, copywriting, and analysis.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze model outputs to identify weaknesses in current instructions and iterate rapidly on solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists and backend engineers to implement prompt-caching strategies and API integrations.
- Ethical AI Compliance: Ensure all prompts adhere to safety guidelines and ethical standards to prevent bias and harmful outputs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience working directly with LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Llama 2) and API platforms like OpenAI or Anthropic.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of NLP concepts, transformer architecture basics, and Python scripting.
- Communication: Exceptional written communication skills with a keen eye for detail, tone, and structure.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think creatively to solve ambiguous problems using language-based solutions.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and documentation tools (Notion, Confluence).
- Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote Friendly).
