Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation measures
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, GDPR)
- Provide security awareness training to employees
- Analyze malware and intrusion attempts using forensic tools
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection and incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and cybersecurity best practices
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
