Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and security logs for anomalous activity and potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client systems
- Respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and forensic investigations
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, HIPAA)
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification required
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with Windows/Linux security hardening and patch management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize security incidents
- Excellent written communication for reporting and documentation
