Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Configure and manage firewall rules, VPN access, and network segmentation to enforce security policies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA through regular audits and documentation.
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation strategies to the senior security team.
- Collaborate with IT operations to patch vulnerabilities and improve overall system resilience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with log analysis and SIEM implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder updates.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
