Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform physical cabling tasks, including Cat6 installation, fiber optic splicing, and rack and stack server hardware.
- Monitor network performance and resolve minor connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Document network configurations and changes accurately using ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to support end-users with hardware and software issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized server room and workspace.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- No prior IT experience is necessary; we value potential over experience.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Mac).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Physical stamina to lift equipment and work in various environments (server rooms, field sites).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) upon hiring.
