Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and update incident response plans and security policies to mitigate risks.
- Investigate suspicious activities and perform forensic analysis when breaches occur.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in network security, SOC analysis, or threat hunting.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and scripting (Python or Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
