In this role, you will be the first line of defense in maintaining our critical network operations. You will work closely with our Systems Engineering team to ensure seamless connectivity, robust security, and optimal performance for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including connectivity failures, router configuration errors, and firewall anomalies.
- Perform regular network audits and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary patches.
- Assist in the deployment of network hardware, such as switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software rollouts and IT infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and install network hardware (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
