Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
- Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades to ensure network availability and security.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to network connectivity and performance.
- Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure compliance and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network infrastructure projects.
- Monitor network performance and traffic to identify potential bottlenecks or security threats.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Valid Cisco CCNA or Juniper JNCIA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network cabling (fiber/copper).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and subnetting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work in server rooms, and handle field work as required.
