Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM platform (Splunk/Sentinel) in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious network activity and malware indicators.
- Assist in the configuration and management of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Document incident responses, security trends, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with the incident response team to contain and remediate security breaches.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Completion of Security+, Network+, or CEH certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 SOC environment.
