Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in incident response procedures and security event documentation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under guidance
- Analyze network traffic and firewall logs to detect anomalies
- Contribute to security awareness training for employees
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support compliance audits and security policy implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with network security concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
