Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security alerts and anomalies
- Assist in incident response investigations and documentation
- Analyze network traffic for potential threats using Wireshark
- Perform vulnerability scans and assist with patch management
- Create and maintain security documentation and reports
- Participate in tabletop exercises and security awareness training
- Collaborate with senior analysts on threat intelligence research
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (degree preferred but not required)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
- Valid U.S. driver's license for occasional client site visits
