Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches in a timely manner.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve system security.
- Document security incidents, procedures, and findings for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models, and common network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) and endpoint protection.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
