Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential breaches
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response for security incidents
- Develop and implement threat detection strategies using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems
- Generate executive security reports and recommend actionable improvements
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds and research
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in SIEM tools and log analysis
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61, ISO 27035)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
- BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
