Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Analyze security alerts and trends from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential intrusions in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the technical investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches and cyber incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular network scans, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments to patch weaknesses proactively.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 through audits and policy enforcement.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: Current CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Python or PowerShell scripting for security automation and reporting.
- Network Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
