Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our network.
- Investigate security breaches, perform forensic analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of servers, databases, and applications.
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices to proactively defend against cyberattacks.
- Train and educate employees on security awareness and compliance protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during critical incidents.
- Clearance to work with sensitive government or corporate data is a plus.
