Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with detailed documentation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate identified risks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards
- Generate executive-level security reports and risk assessments
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive defense strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection/analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IAM principles
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts for incident response
