Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel).
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT operations and software development teams to enforce secure SDLC practices.
- Perform regular security audits to ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of network security concepts, TCP/IP, and scripting (Python or Bash).
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
