Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing simulations
- Incident response coordination including containment and remediation
- Develop and maintain security documentation (policies, playbooks, reports)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and defense techniques through continuous training
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification during training
- U.S. citizenship required for government compliance clearance
