Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and document detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability management processes and coordinate patching activities
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response procedures
- Perform security audits and compliance assessments (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden systems against emerging threats
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and firewalls
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and attack vectors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security environment
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred but not required
