Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze system logs to detect and investigate suspicious activities or intrusions.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in the network.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.
- Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document incident reports and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and update incident response plans and security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related SOC role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and database security.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and log analysis.
