Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with internal teams to mitigate threats effectively.
- Ensure compliance with government security standards and internal policies.
- Document security incidents, incidents logs, and trends for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve security posture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems.
- Experience with incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST, SANS).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required by the schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
