Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential breaches using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for cyber threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and compliance standards
- Analyze logs and forensic data to identify attack patterns and anomalies
- Create security awareness training materials for employees
- Stay current on threat intelligence and emerging cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint security
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during flexible hours
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
