Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM systems to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct incident response and forensic analysis to mitigate cyberattacks and restore system integrity.
- Perform daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and enforce security best practices.
- Generate and maintain detailed incident reports and security documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- 3+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, or CrowdStrike.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during active security breaches.
