Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events from SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or QRadar).
- Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches and potential intrusions.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Document security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation steps.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security patches and controls.
- Assist in compliance auditing processes (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
